Partner Terms
The terms for accountants and bookkeepers who refer clients to ARS Financial: what you earn, when you’re paid, and what we ask of you.
Version 1.1 · Effective 2 November 2026
- You earn 10% of every fee ARS invoices a client you refer, excluding VAT, for that client’s first 12 months.
- A client is yours when they sign up through your referral link, or when we confirm in writing that you introduced them.
- Your share is earned once the client has paid our invoice. We pay you by EFT, at least once a month.
- You can see every referral, invoice and payment in your accountant portal.
- Introduce clients honestly, tell them you earn a referral fee, keep their information confidential, and don’t make promises on our behalf.
- Either of us can end the partnership at any time. Money already earned is still paid.
This summary helps you find your way. The full terms below are what apply.
01About these terms
These Partner Terms apply to accountants, bookkeepers and other professionals who refer businesses to ARS Financial (Pty) Ltd (ARS, we, us) through the accountant portal (you, a Partner). They sit alongside our Terms of Use, which also apply to your use of the portal. If the two conflict on anything about referrals, these Partner Terms apply.
By creating an accountant login, or by sharing your referral link, you agree to these terms.
02What counts as a referral
A business is your referred client when:
- it creates its ARS account through your referral link (or your invitation from the portal) and ticks the box confirming you referred it; or
- you introduced it to us some other way and we confirm in writing (an email is enough) that we have credited it to you.
A business that was already an ARS client, or that we were already in contact with, before your introduction is not a referral, unless we agree otherwise in writing. If two partners introduce the same business, it is credited to the first one it signed up through.
03What you earn
For each referred client, you earn 10% of every fee ARS invoices that client, excluding VAT, for 12 months from the date the client was referred. That includes our recovery commission, Credit Control fees, customer checks, traces and credit-bureau listings.
Your share of an invoice is earned once the client has paid that invoice in full. If an invoice is reduced, credited or never paid, your share is adjusted to match. If we have already paid you a share on money that is later refunded, we may deduct it from what we owe you next.
Invoices dated after the 12 months do not earn a share, even if the client keeps using ARS. Amounts are worked out on the fee, never on the money recovered for the client.
04How and when you are paid
- We pay what you have earned by EFT into the bank account you give us in your portal, at least once a month, usually in the first week.
- Your portal shows every invoice, your share, and whether it is waiting for the client to pay, owed to you, or paid.
- You are responsible for your own tax on what you earn. If you are registered for VAT, the amounts we pay you include VAT, and you send us a tax invoice for them.
- If your bank details are missing or wrong, we hold the payment until you update them.
05How you introduce clients
- Describe ARS honestly. Do not promise any client a result, a recovery, or terms that ARS has not offered.
- Only refer businesses with their knowledge. Do not add a business to ARS, or share its information with us, without its permission.
- Tell each client you refer that you earn a referral fee from ARS. Your professional body’s code may require it, and it keeps the referral honest.
- You are not ARS’s agent. You may not sign anything, accept money, or contact a client’s debtors on our behalf.
- Do not use our name or logo in advertising without our written agreement. You may share our partner one-pager and your referral link.
- Never send spam or unsolicited bulk messages to promote ARS.
06Confidentiality and POPIA
You and ARS each keep the other’s confidential information, and any client or debtor information, confidential, and handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act. A referred client decides for itself whether to give you access to its Credit Control in the portal, and can remove that access at any time. Removing your access does not end your referral earnings.
07Ending the partnership
Either of us can end the partnership at any time by email. You keep your earnings on invoices dated before it ends, which we still pay once the clients pay them. We may end it immediately, and withhold unpaid earnings on the affected clients, if you break these terms, act dishonestly, or bring ARS into disrepute.
08Changes to these terms
We may change these terms, including the rate or the period, for the future. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change takes effect. A change never reduces what you have already earned, or the terms for clients you referred before the change.
09General
You and ARS are independent businesses. Nothing in these terms makes you an employee, agent or partner of ARS in the legal sense. These terms are governed by South African law. Questions or disputes: kyle@arsfinancial.co.za. We will respond within 5 business days and try to resolve it fairly.
